Nitrogen and phosphorus removal in simulated wastewater by two aquatic plants

Water pollution control is the focus of environmental control. Ecological water treatment widely used because its low cost and landscape effect, has no pollution. Aquatic plants have attracted wide attention their high level resource utilization. In order to study effects emergent submerged on removal different concentrations wastewater, effect pollutants plant growth, two common aquatic found in Northeast China (Iris ensata Thunb. Potamogeton malaianus Miq.) were selected. Under static conditions, efficiency nitrogen phosphorus wastewater with by kinds was studied. The results showed that rate total (TN) medium- high-pollutant concentration samples (TP) low-pollutant I. reached more than 75%. TN medium-pollutant P. 71.4%, while TP higher 80%. Nanhu Park Lake samples, had highest rates (80.38%) (85.62%). This shows both can be as restore quality urban lakes. research provides an important basis for phytoremediation domestic surface bodies Northern China.
